E-waste Race Textiel Race wins the Circular Award Public 2021

During the National Conference Circular Economy on Monday 1 February, E-waste Race/Textile Race won the Circular Award in the Public category! This award goes to the most innovative companies and governments that show what the circular economy can mean for the Netherlands. During the National Conference on Circular Economy, the award was presented in the presence of Prime Minister Mark Rutte and State Secretary Stientje van Veldhoven.

We are enormously honoured, proud and grateful to have won this wonderful prize. This strengthens us in our mission to make the Netherlands circular and to involve children in particular! We certainly do not do this alone! We would like to thank all our partners: the hundreds of schools that participate annually, the more than 110 municipalities in the Netherlands that we work with, the waste collectors that we work with, the recycling companies, the Repair Cafés and the sustainable brands. We would especially like to thank Weee Nederland, who supported us from the very beginning. With this award in our pocket, we are strengthened in our ambitions. The circular economy is fun, cool and energising, and we will continue to promote it!

Besides the E-waste Race, the initiative WaardeRing in Zwolle - a circular craft network of now 22 partners in the Zwolle region - and Biopartner (lab building 5), a lab building constructed from a donor building, were also nominated. We would like to congratulate them as well! Everyone who contributes to the transition to the circular economy is a hero. Only together we ensure that we get over the tipping point!
